Division 42 Email lists

Division 42 has two main email lists available for members. In addition, special interest group lists are occasionally being formed. You probably would learn about those through exchanges on the primary email list or announcements in the Independent Practitioner. Contact the Internet Editor for information about setting up an APA/Division-sponsored special interest group email list.

The main email list is an ongoing daily exchange among members on topics of interest including clinical activity, business of practice, psychology and psychologists in the news, and social chat. It has been called our "virtual water cooler." Members may post to and receive messages from others. The list typically has about 600 subscribers at any one time, with a range of involvement from daily conversations to 'lurkers' who just like to watch.

The "announcement-only" list allows members to receive occasional e-mail newsgrams that include updates, announcements, and newsworthy information from the Division to members.

Division members may sign up for one, both, or neither, at your option.

It may take a few days for your request to be processed. You will receive notification from the APA list software including a 'Welcome to the List' message.
